Using TurboTax Premiere from Costco with the same issue. I tried a few different entries on the form with the same issue. I have contacted TurboTax and they said they were "working" on it. I think they should rename themselves to SnailTax, SluggishTax, or maybe TortoiseTax.....
Also wouldn’t you think to fix this issue all you had to do was make sure the software can add a few lines and calculate the correct total. Kinda embarrassing if you ask me that it’s taking so long to fix.
Not to mention when I used TurboTax to file my 2020 taxes I got an error saying I needed to file schedule X with my Hawaii form but when I printed the forms I needed to file there was no schedule X. That’s two years in a row you’re screwing with Hawaii filers.
and it behooves me that for claiming dependent care expenses every year when entering the provider’s tax payer id it always errors out and you have keep clicking next to force it to accept the number.
I seem to have the same error regarding 21.C for my Hawaii taxes. I just installed my 2021 turbotax on a Windows 10 system. Finished inputting everything just to get this interest expense error.
it's been like that for weeks.. Turbo tax is taking their time updating the Hawaii state N11 form. I heard other software companies aren't having the same problem. So I'm assuming it's not the State. it's TURBO TAX. If I were you , I'll try to return the software, saying it's defective.. I would try to return mine, but I was a fool to hang in there and let the return policy on Amazon expire.. I'm out of $84. Life sucks at times, but you go on.. Buyer's beware...
I have the Premier PC edition. Been trying to efile for weeks as well. Can I use the option to file an extension for the State of Hawaii so that I can continue to efile my Federal taxes?
I don’t want to run into issues later. I just want to bypass the State efile to submit my Federal taxes and once this gets this fixed just efile my State taxes without having to redo the State section. I already paid to efile the State.
Please advise.
Just pick to E file the federal. The state isn't file unless you mail the hard copies in.. You can go back in later and E file the state when they get it fixed. Worked for couple of my clients already.
Dear TurboTax customer,
Email from TurboTax Sunday Feb. 6, 2022
Thanks for being patient with HI error N-11 line 21.c Interest expense states not available till 01/19/2022
Thank you for being patient while we investigate your issue.
We’re still working on a solution and we’ll send you an email once a fix is in place.
Thank you for being a TurboTax customer.
Sincerely,
TurboTax
SCAM!
You make no sense. Your message on 2/6 says the error will be faxed 2 weeks ago? WHAT??
Turbotax collected my money but won't let me submit my taxes. Please fix this issue.
They did the same thing to me and I think it's criminal, tantamount to theft!
I am having the same response. Been trying since Feb 2. I've never had such a hard time filing for Hawaii State before. I am so frustrated, I'm about to just file and have the state correct it otherwise.
Just following up on when this will be resolved?
Have been having the same issue. Federal was e Filed, but cannot file Hawaii State as I get the Loop were it does the final review and getting "HI error N-11 line 21.c Interest expense states not available till 01/19/2022 updates" every time I select Transmit returns. I was thinking of changing it from E-File to mail, which it allows me to print out the forms. Is it a problem with the form in general or a bug in the software? If it's the form then it makes no sense to mail the forms manually.
@Jay Allen I think it's a software problem with Turbo tax itself.. I read in previous messages, H&R block works fine with N11.. What I can see when doing the manual calculations the form is correct, so by sending in the print out should be fine. I have done that, we'll wait to see if State of Hawaii rejects it. So know with the Government.
