there is a possibility that you can avoid taxation on some or all of the debt discharge - form 982.

this includes

bankruptcy

insolvency

reduction of certain tax attributes

this can be tricky so if you think you can avail yourself of one of the items, you may want to consult a tax pro to make sure it's done properly.

Thank you.

If I owed my sibling money towards Utility bill(s), even anything else or so that I may have owed them for if it was money, goods, services, or and whatever if any, but they decided to not charge me for it later on, or and discounted the price for me to pay, either way also if a Tax Entity in Other States, IRS, NJ, if etc. allowed me not to pay or and report taxes on certain thing(s), would I have to report that as taxable or and non taxable income to the state of NJ even the IRS / If stores, businesses otherwise, Insurance company etc. may have eliminated or and didn't require me to pay however / Also, if friend(s) decided not to have me pay them back any or all of any that I may have owed them, / and years ago court fee(s) lessoned the price, it was a lot less than what they may of originally said I would owe / and if by anyone regardless if a company or so, court, tax related such as State, IRS, Etc., If I was never sent a bill or told an actual amount to pay, but yet If I was told I had to pay or and by law or and policy knew I should pay, but they did not actually bill me, would that be considered Cancelled Debt if they told me I did not need to pay them or on those lines, or is it only if they require a certain amount or and thing to pay, and then afterwards, they allow you not to pay either in money or and service or and however?

Is there a Statute of Limitations on anything I mentioned, and if so, what is the time limit?

Please reply with answers according to the law and rules that would apply to me.
