Yes there is a big difference in box 3 & 4. You can not figure out box 3 from your paystubs. There can be several pretax deductions that may affect it. You really need the actual W2 from the employer. They had to give you the W2 by Jan 31. You need to ask the employer for another copy.
You cannot use your pay stub to file your tax return. You have to get your W-2 from your employer.
