What if I used the wrong address on my return

if you were due a refund and elected direct deposit no harm from the wrong address if the banking info is correct. However, any IRS notices will go to that address

The address you entered on your tax return has no effect whatsoever on your spouse's tax return.

But.....if you entered the wrong address on your tax return, the IRS has the wrong address if they need to mail you a letter or a check.
