What happens now and what do I have to do because our original transmission was on 2 Apr 19 and our re-transmission was today?

I transmitted our return on 2 Apr 19.  I just found out it was never received so I re- transmitted today.  Because this is after the due date, what do I have to do?

Was it rejected? And now you e-filed again and made a correction?  There is nothing to do--if you are getting a refund there is no penalty for missing the deadline.  If you owe tax due the IRS will send you a bill for penalty/interest owed for being late.  Watch your email to see if it is accepted this time--make sure you also check your spam folder--just in case it goes there.
