What happened to the audit risk meter?

TurboTax gets an "L"

What happened to the audit risk meter?

Seriously?! I can't believe they would remove the meter!!!!

What happened to the audit risk meter?

Removing Audit Meter just for Online Users is a poor move. This alienates your long-time Online Users. If you pay attention to comments, you might notice how this has affected the opinions of your customers towards your product.

In addition, it took too long this year to get it done and too many calls to TurboTax and research online to make sure I was filling in the correct information in the correct place (especially since in the Online version, once again, you also cannot see where this information is being filled out on the actual forms; this is also only reserved for the CD/Download Product). I even encountered errors where I had to troubleshoot to find out I had to delete forms so I could connect the information back properly due to the "double-click to link" feature not working correctly.

We may just look into hiring an accountant next year to do our taxes. Then, I can spend less time agonizing over these details (would be worth it to have more time for other things), drop off all the information, let the specialist handle the details and backup their service in the case of an Audit. We'll see what changes you make next year (whether you add back features for Online Users or continue to downgrade our experience). Ball is in your court.

^^^ Well played sir.

What happened to the audit risk meter?

These companies pay millions upon millions of dollars to lobby to keep us from being able to do this on our own. This is just another example of TurboTax trying to squeeze 44 bucks more from folks. Boy they'll be pissed to learn that the added insurance is worthless. What happened to the audit risk meter?

Agree 100% with everyone else, why remove this feature and not notify the online users? This is one of the main reasons I used Turbotax, I will probably be looking for a different tax preparation software next year.  The kicker is, I had already paid for the online version and could find away to download the desktop version without paying for it again.  I had actually enjoyed doing my taxes in previous years...not this year.  It seemed cold and not as user friendly.

What happened to the audit risk meter?

HORRIBLE. I have been using Self-Employed version for years WITH audit protection. It would be nice to have that piece of mind before filing a complicated return.

What happened to the audit risk meter?

100% agree with everyone. Audit risk meter was a great (and fun!) feature... I strongly recommend bringing it back.

What happened to the audit risk meter?

I just wasted a lot of time doing my taxes with Turbo Tax, because I won't be filing my taxes through Turbo Tax without the audit risk meter.  So, H&R Block, here I come.....Very disappointing that they have removed this feature.  I can't figure out why they would do so, what does it save them?  Nothing.  All it does is reduce the customer's confidence in the product we are purchasing.  If the goal was to lose very loyal customers...JOB WELL DONE TURBO TAX!

What happened to the audit risk meter?

I'm so pissed that I went through the trouble of completing my tax return with Turbo Tax when I'm about to have to do the whole process over again with a different company. That audit meter was a feature that I was willing to pay TurboTax's excessive prices for. Without it, I might as well take my chances with someone else.

What happened to the audit risk meter?

Oh my god. The meter is gone.  Of COURSE TurboTax is just like any good money-grabbing conglomerate that thinks only of shareholder bottom line.  Customers?  What do they know?  What does TurboTax care?  We got your money.  What is the point of using TurboTax without this meter?  I have so many other tax filing options.  I see I'm not alone. Think of all of the people who are pissed but haven't written a comment about losing the meter.  No more TurboTax for me.

What happened to the audit risk meter?

stupid - bring it back...
