What do I need to do to fix my tax return? I tried fixing the tax returns, but it keeps being rejected.

My federal and state tax return keeps getting rejected because my daughter did not check the box saying she was my dependent. She corrected her return using turbo tax and resubmitted it. I resubmited mine after she resubmitted hers, but mine keeps getting rejected for this reason.

Unfortunately you will have to print, sign, date and mail your tax return to the IRS.  It cannot be e-filed since the IRS received a tax return with her Social Security number as the taxpayer and not a dependent.  This will not change even after she files an amended return changing her dependency.
