The reject code Problem: The IRS has rejected your Federal Tax Return because your EIN or Employer Identification Number on one of your W-2s was issued after the tax year.

First: Contact your employer and ask for the correct EIN for the current tax year you are filing.
Next: If they truly did not get their EIN until after December 31st, 2022 then you must mail your tax return.
