To enter your 1099-G, please follow the steps below:

    1. Log into TurboTax and click on any topic to continue
    2. Click on Federal from the menu on the left-hand side of the screen
    3. Click on Wages & Income at the top of the screen
    4. For unemployment benefits:

  • Scroll down to "Unemployment" and click on "Show More"
  • Click on "Start" to the right of "Unemployment and paid family leave" and answer the questions.

    5. For State Refunds:

  • Scroll down to "Other Common Income" and click on "Show More"
  • Click on "Start" to the right of "Refunds Received for State/Local Tax Returns" and answer the questions.

Is the income reported in box 7 of the 1099-Misc?  I expect that it will be reported as self-employment income.

See this help.

You may also put 1099-misc income in the Search function in the upper right hand corner of the screen.

Click Jump to 1099-Misc income.
