W-7 along with tax return forms

I am in the middle of filling up turbo tax. My child living with us doesn't have US SNN or ITIN # yet. I saw instruction saying that I shall submit W-7 form along with my tax return form through mailing in or in-person. Should I then leave the entries for my child's ITIN blank on the tax return form? This is the first time I am using turbo tax. After filling up the turbo tax form, am I able to print out the filled tax forms from turbo tax and mail print-outs to IRS office?

Yes, you can print the forms with a blank and file with the W7. You want to mail your return so you can verify your return was successfully delivered.
