Hello, i’m reaching out regarding receiving my W-2, I have a box 12 that I entered into that exact spot, i do not have a box 13 and nothing is checked on box 13 so is skip it, when they do a check it says there a mistake , i need to select something in box 13, but my W-2 does not show me anything for box 13, what do i do?

To correct this type of error it is best to delete the W-2 and then re-enter manually.
So i did enter in manually it’s more so my W-2 that’s confusing me if i have a box 12D, but not 13 , it won’t let me submit it but my W-2 does not provide me to check box 13, since i have a retirement 401k- it would mean i have a retirement plan but my W-2 says otherwise by not giving me a box 13, with any check marks?
Since theW-2 you received from your employer does not have a check mark in box 13, just ignore the error and continue with the program.
