Vehicle Sales Tax in Florida on top of standard deduction

We bought two vehicles in Florida in 2024.
We are also taking the standard deduction.

Per my understanding, the sales tax can be applied as a deduction in addition (on top of) getting the standard deduction. There isnt a limit on 2024 AGI or MAGI to get this sales tax deduction.

When I entered the sales tax, TT indicated there would be a deduction, but it did not reduce the taxes due.

Why? All of my information has been entered in TT.

If we claim gambling loss equal to winnings, we are required to itemize deductions. Does this mean we must record actual expenses of business related vehicles?
