User ID & Bank Information

The online steps to change your User ID, which I did NOT self-assign, do not work. Every time I go to Sign In & Security, Select User ID, it asks me to enter my password and there is NO link to change it and Save. Been trying this for over an hour. How do you make this security change since this User ID is not something I created?

 

And...the online steps to change your bank account information for direct deposit of your refund do not work either. There is no link/tab next to "File" that brings up any such information and need to verify what is currently there and make a change BEFORE I file. How do you do this one too?

In your situation, it is recommended that you first log out of your TurboTax Online and delete your cookies.

 

On rare occasions, they may make your browser think you already did something that you still need to do. To fix that, you'll need to delete (clear) the cookies from your browser. For more information on how to delete your cookies on the browser you are using, please see How do I delete cookies?.

 

Then, to change your User ID or Password, you'll want to be logged in to your TurboTax online account.

  1. Sign in to your TurboTax account
  2. Select Intuit Account in the lower left corner of the screen
  3. Go to Sign In & Security in the Manage your Account section
  4. Select either User ID or Password to make changes
  5. Enter the new information
  6. Be sure to Save after entering your new user ID or password

There is NO link to change my User ID.

 

Here is what is there:

 

User ID
Use this user ID to sign in to any Intuit product.
 
It has a User ID that I NEVER entered...below it a space for Password...and then Save or Cancel. That's it. Nothing that allows to edit/change this User ID. I've tried to simply delete the User ID and enter my current password and it says...this information is incorrect. However, when I enter my e-mail address, it works. Been trying this for days. What now? I don't want this User ID attached to my account at all.
