TT says I couldn't finish because 5 forms weren't available yet. I entered my email address to notify me when the forms are available, which it has done 2x. I see in the list that all the forms I needed are ready and available for print and online, yet TT says that I have the latest update. Why doesn't the software see the updated forms?

What a waste of time...Turbo Tax has gotten way too big. They can no longer provide effective support to their customers! Unless you pay $50 to ask a question that their amazing software is supposed to walk you through then you get thrown into the circle of death customer service queue! All week I've had the same issue and can't seem to get a resolution. Forms that TT says need updated are listed as available. I have gotten email 2 replies that the forms I was waiting for have been updated and are ready for use yet when I go to continue my return and click on the update forms button, I get the same message that it's up to date! Hence the circle of death customer service queue!
Same problem. Forms not updated in software even though TT site says forms are available (form 8606, schedule C Profit or Loss from Business). SW says it is up to date... it's been going on for weeks. It's very frustrating. Last time I will use Turbo Tax.
Agree.. very frustrating and TT replies are so pathetic and not very helpful. Time to switch from TT.
Talked to turbotax on the phone.
The solution is to open your return, go to 'forms', click on the 8828 (with the exclamation beside it), click delete, then you can file. You will still have to download that form manually from the IRS and file it by mail.
Not great, but it does work.
This is a dead link. I've tried every solution for the program to update the (AVAILABLE) forms to no avail!!!! I cannot file my federal return because (ERRONEOUSLY) TT says Form 8895 needs updating....nor can I file my (NY) state return since IT-201 (ERRONEOUSLY) needs updating. HELP INTUIT!!! It's MARCH 15TH....do something for Heaven's sake!!!!!
Unfortunately it didn't work for me. Still having the same issue. When I delete Form 8863 turbo tax just puts it back into the list with a red exclamation point next to it.
