Update to 2024.r21.027 (Mac) removed entries for Social Security.
Entered all information in February but didn't file because I owed tax. Opened program on March 12th to finish. First, it installed an update to 2024.r21.027. Next, when it opened the return I had been working on the taxes owed had changed to me getting refund of approximately the same amount. It had also changed the Form 1040 to Form 1040-SR. Couldn't immediately see what had changed, so after running the analysis to check for errors, I filed the return. Later, after more research, I discovered the entries for my Social Security income had been deleted, so it was not included in total income. Any ideas other than/in addition to filing an amended return?

If you already filed the return, and it was accepted, then your only option is to file an amended return. Wait until the return is processed (payment accepted or refund issued) before amending the return.
See this article and this one for more information on filing an amended return with TurboTax.
Some Mac users had previously been reporting that they couldn't enter Social Security on their 2024 return if they transferred the 2023 return information that included Social Security. Removing the transferred information resolved the issue. There may have been a fix for this issue included in the update you installed that somehow interfered with your entries.
See this help article for troubleshooting steps for Mac issues.
If you have all of the minimum system requirements, you might also try clearing your cache and cookies. If after trying all of the options mentioned you still have the same problem:
