Solved: If i file married joint with only my w2 can my wife also file with her w2 joint

When you file as married filing joint, you prepare ONLY ONE tax return. That tax return has to have the income and deductions for both of you. You can not each file a "married filing joint" return. That is not allowed.

When I click to enter info for a 1099-R (military retirement), it says "this section is unavailable while we work on updates for recent tax law changes. What gives?
