Depdendent's unearned income is less than $1050, earned income is less than $2400, but gross income is more than earned + $350; if parent completes form 8814 to report dependent's unearned income, does dependent need to file return to report his/her earned income?

Unfortunately, you can't use Form 8814 since he has earned income.
