Under your tax breaks, there is Job expenses for W-2 income, but I do not see expenses for 1099 MISC. Where would expenses for 1099 MISC be?

under the current tax law for W-2 (employees) job expenses are no longer deductible.
this rule does not apply to self-employed. if you receive 1099-misc for self-employed income (usually box 7 but some put it in box 3) then that income and related expenses go on Schedule C.

You probably entered your 1099-Misc at the 1099-Misc screen.
To enter your expenses, In TurboTax, enter at:
- Federal Taxes tab
- Wages & Income
Scroll down to:
- Business Items
- Business Income & Expenses (Sch C)
Or type> business (schedule C) <in the search box
