You probably entered your 1099-Misc at the 1099-Misc screen.
To enter your expenses, In TurboTax, enter
at:
- Federal Taxes tab

Wages & Income
Scroll down to:
- Business Items
- Business Income & Expenses (Sch
C)
Or type> business (schedule C) <in the search box
