Unable to open my 2018 Ta Return

I used the software version of Turbotax for 2016 & 2018. I  saved both of the returns on my computer. Last year I transferred the 2018 tax  information to my 2019 Tax Return and filed. I am now trying to open both my 2016 and 2018 saved tax returns. I am unable to open either of them, instead I get a pop up message that reads "This document "Tax Return18.taxreturn" was created with last years version of TurboTax.  Select Transfer to import last years tax information into a new tax return. There is are two buttons to choose from, one for Cancel and one for Transfer. When I clicked on "Cancel" it just closes Turbotax and when I choose "Transfer" it takes me to the 2019 Software where I get a message that the transfer was successful,  and the 2018 has closed automatically, when I try to open it after the transfer I just get the same messages and it still will not open. I am able to open the tax returns for 2017 and 2019 without getting this message.

You open the 2016 tax data file with the 2016 TurboTax software and you open the 2018 tax data file with the 2018 TurboTax software.

Start the TurboTax program for the year you need to open.  Click on the File menu at the top left of the program screen.  Click on Open Tax Return.  Browse to the location where the tax data file is stored.
