When I imported, various is already selected when I edit each of the 222 entries I have. Still won't let me get past the enter acquired date screen. I don't want to spend another $200 to print 100s of pages and mail it. May as well use a different service if turbo tax isn't going to fix this.

It’s happening with a bunch of people. How about you fix it!

The net gain or loss from you Form 1099-B will show on line 4 of Schedule 1 and line 7 of Form 1040.
I too was experiencing this issue. I requested a call from one of their representatives. The lady called within 5 minutes. She had me delete the entire 1099-B that I imported and selected "enter myself". Then it will ask you how many lines you have to enter. Since ours was 95 lines, she had me select 4+. From here you can enter the summary of the 1099-B totals. Have your 1099-B handy. The totals will be in box 1d and 1e. You need to enter the company name, account # (optional), their employer identification number, then the totals for 1d and 1e. After entering this info, I was literally able to file electronically within a few minutes. Huge relief as we've been trying to figure this out on our own for 3 weeks. Good luck!!

Any asset you hold for one year or less at the time of sale is considered “short term” by the IRS. Capital assets that you hold for more than one year and then sell are classified as long-term on Schedule D and Form 8949.
The net gain or loss from you Form 1099-B will show on line 4 of Schedule 1 and line 7 of Form 1040. For more information, click here: 1099-B
Same/Same with H&R Block. You get through all requirements only to see a "Date Required" for any transactions associated with the 1099-R. Try the "Robo-Help" and you get "I need to connect you to...." which is code for we are going to charge you $40 for assistance from a "live person." At the push of a "button" Robo-help indicated information for the 1099-R had been imported. Hmmmm......how did it happen that they had that info to begin with? And then I get a "date required" for 182 friggin' items. I'm thinking I've got nothing better to do for the next few hours how to I do that? Hmmmmmm......apparently I can't without paying someone $40. Therefore I will download the paper forms from the IRS and do it the old fashioned way. Yeah, it's a lot of forms and will take a lot of time on my part, but I'm **bleep** near 72 years old and set in my ways. Bottom line.......don't tell me it's free unless it's **bleep**ing free!
