Unable to be listed as a dependent after changing my status as a dependent

I filed my taxes and after the forms had been accepted i had realized that i did not have myself listed as being able to be claimed as a dependent on my parents tax. i used the amending feature of turbo tax o change my personal status from not being a dependent to being able to be claimed as a dependent.

You have done the right thing to correct your return. Go ahead and file your amended tax return so that your parents will be able to claim you as a dependent.

If your parent's return rejects they will have to Mail their return this year even if you amend yours.  So they don't have to wait for your amended return process.
