I am using on Windows version 11. I believe the C++ library was updated during insta. I got all the way thru to activation. Put in the code and then it asked me "Are you sure?
You will miss the chance to try TurboTax Online for $0. You can always switch back to your Desktop software later. Please note, this is a one-time offer that won't be available later. Sign up for online
There was no option to decline. If I say yes, it takes me to online being available dec 17th. I do not want online and if you go that way, I will probably change software next year. I just want to install my windows desktop version I paid for via amazon and your link. HELP, this is taking way too long to do.

not sure which window you are on but there should be option to decline or close the window. From what I recall on the install there is an initial offer window, and then an "are you sure" type dialog. Intuit is not forcing you to use online. if still stuck please attach a screenshot (without any personal identifying info) that may be helpful; or you can call support
This is from my install. Did you get this screen? You can Continue on Desktop
thank you for trying to help. I get to this screen. When I click on desktop it takes me to a second screen that asks if I am sure. That screen only offers online. The right corner only has a close, no expand or minimize.
Thank you for trying. There is no decline on the are you sure window. Also the usual expand and minimize on the top right of the window are missing. Since you were able to do it, and suspecting it's something with my screen. I have a large screen tablet. I've it set for 100% and the recommended resolution but the top menu from the last few years of TT have been deformed. Am suspecting their test lab does not include HP envy laptops. They are not weird so might be worth them testing on one. .
That must be a pop up box on my screen. Don’t remember that one. What happens when you click the X to close? Did you try scrolling to the right and scrolling down? The horizontal scroll bar at the bottom can go right.
I know, that in some prior years, some folks had to reduce their display resolution to see everything in certain windows. Don't recall what worked best, but I think? 1920 x 1080 worked OK.
Shouldn't have to do that, but it might be a workaround. IF you do something like that and it works, please tell us what Display resolution wasn't and then was working in your situation.
scrolling does not work. If you close the window it just takes you back to the previous window. THe window does not scale. May be a pop up but it's appearing so is not being blocked
I remember having that problem in the past but in this case, I was at 1920*1080 and it did not work. I tried all the other resolutions and they also did not work. At this point, I don't know how to get past this. I can't be the only one with an HP envy laptop. I will try calling tomorrow but if you have any other ideas how to get around this special free offer, I would appreciate your help. Honestly, am not thrilled. I was IT for years and would have been in serious trouble releasing software like this. Maybe that's why they are moving to online but I do not want my private stuff stored online etc. Can you open a ticket or are you a very kind volunteer and not with intuit?
The scroll bars not enabled. The top right, is only close(x). I am not seeing the right half of the image volvogirl posted. It's like the txt is an orphan window that's in the wrong place in the overall window.
Yeah, most of us in this forum are other users and volunteers, with an occasional TTX rep or moderator. You can call TTX Customer Support on weekdays, and if they can't help with it, then they may open a repair ticket.:
