Why do you think you need to have two separate TurboTax Deluxe editions installed on one computer for the same tax year?

A single TurboTax desktop edition can be used for completing and filing an unlimited number tax returns.

Why are you trying to install Deluxe twice on the same computer?   Every desktop download gives you up to five federal e-files and their associated state return programs.  You do not need two Deluxe downloads on the same computer to prepare two tax returns.  Return that unnecessary second purchase for a refund.

When you need to start working on a second return for another family member etc---go up to your tool bar and click "New Tax Return" to start another return.  You can prepare and e-file up to five federal returns using desktop software; if you have more to prepare for other family members etc they can be printed and filed by mail.

Bought two TT Deluxe versions because I'm working on a probate and need to file (1) my own return, and (2) one for a deceased parent. I realize that I can file up to five federal returns, but each filer (me and the decedent) needs to file state returns, so I bought two Deluxe versions.

To complicate matters, for the probate, I also need to download TurboTax Business Desktop Edition because I need to file a federal 1041 for the decedent's estate.

It's looking like I can't get multiple TT versions on my computer. Help!

You still do not need and cannot put two desktop Deluxe downloads on the same computer.   All you need for the second return is the state software if the decedent was in a different state than yours.     You can always add a state program for an extra fee.   You do NOT need Deluxe on your computer twice.

You CAN download the TurboTax Business program to the same computer along with Deluxe.   That is allowed.

When you work on the personal return for the person who died, it is going to ask you about their state.   If you do not already have that state program it will prompt you to purchase and download the state you need for them.

@Rates Payer while you can prep as many returns as needed using the same desktop deluxe, you are allowed only 5 e-files. uninstalling one copy and installing a second copy will not allow more e-files. This limitation is imposed by the IRS.
