TurboTax won’t honor refund

Sharing this so that I can prevent someone else from the ripoff that is TurboTax - if you are filing as the executor for a deceased parent.

I have a Form 1310 on file with the IRS from last year, and I checked box B, but it told me I cannot e-file unless I select box C - which says it is being filed by someone OTHER than the court appointed executor.  So just for fun, I tried filing that way and it said I can't file for another person UNLESS I am the court appointed executor. 

I called support and was given terrible suggestions that were irrelevant to what I was asking. I called a second time and was cut off before I could even ask. I called a 3rd time and also got someone with seemingly no tax experience, and finally, the 4th person gave me the link to refund my TurboTax purchase. BUT, when I did that, 2 days later, I got an email saying I was ineligible for a refund because I printed the forms (so that I would have my info saved). 

This whole experience was a complete waste of time and money. Needless to say, I am a very unhappy customer and will likely file a claim with my credit card company. It's bad enough having to deal with the loss of my Mom, but this experience just added to the stress and frustration of a difficult situation.

I hate that I just flushed $75 down the drain.

In regards to our Satisfaction Guaranteed Refund Policy:  You may use TurboTax Online without charge up to the point you decide to print or electronically file your tax return. Printing or electronically filing your return reflects your satisfaction with TurboTax Online, at which time you will be required to pay or register for the product.

Maybe you should re-read my post.  It's obvious you have no interest in trying to rectify a bad situation.  If that's how you treat your customers, I will no longer be one. Excuse me while I file a chargeback with my credit card company and share this poor customer service with the many social media outlets.

Why do you keep trying to persuade me to agree with your answer? I’m getting daily emails to convince me to agree with your REFUSAL to honor a refund to ONE person who tried to e-file his deceased Mom’s tax return using your service. 

It didn’t work. Your CS reps couldn’t resolve it. 

I spoke with THREE different agents on the phone and two agents online and NOT ONE had an answer or solution to resolve the issue. 

And you are still REFUSING to issue a refund for a product that didn’t work for me and my late mother?  

This is disgusting. 

Let’s see if the $75 you refuse to refund me is worth the bad publicity and lost revenue you are about to experience from me and my family. 

We are up to the challenge.
