turbotax won't efile without social security address

Turbotax needs more information before filing.  It says I need payer's address for my 1099 form for social security.  Nothing I put in works.

I have seen answers saying I used the wrong form but I checked and I did not.

There is no Payer ID or payer address for a SSA1099.  You are trying to enter it in the wrong place.

Go to Federal> Wages & Income>>Retirement Plans and Social Security  (SSA1099 and 1099RRB) to enter your SSA1099.

I've tried the same solution and it doesn't work.  I just keep getting flags from Turbotax to correct this "error" no matter how many times I reenter the information.  I'm never asked to select between a 1099-R and a 1099.  I just fill in the blanks manually that Turbotax offers up.  I'm never given any other option and it just keeps sending me in circles.

Try starting from the Wages and Income main screen and go from there to get to the Social Security inputs.

From Wages and Income, scroll down to the section for Retirement Plans and Social Security.  You should see choices for Social Security (SSA-1099, RRB-1099); IRA, 401(k), Pension Plan Withdrawals (Form 1099-R); and Canadian Registered Pension Income.

Be sure to click Start or Update beside the line for Social Security.  If you are asked to enter an address or Federal ID number, that is the wrong place.
