Help me figure out what is going on with TT software updates and error messages.
Have used TT for years, but this year am having a number of issues relating to updates for both my 2022 and 2023 returns. Had to look at 2022 return for some refund info to fill out my 2023 return, and had the software lock up with an error that it could not load the updates, which then prevented me from looking at my (already submitted) return in the 2022 software. Ended up having to uninstall and then reinstall the software a couple of times to get to my 2022 submitted return.
For the 2023 return am having the same issues, that TT software updates do not install, and cannot proceed to my return. Uninstalled and then reinstalled once. Then it said I needed to repurchase my state as it could not find my TT state! Another uninstall and then reinstall. Then it said my saved location was not connected anymore (on my own computer!). Another uninstall and reinstall. Finally got it to open but still, is this happening to others??? Have a Windows 11 computer, all updates, Window Defender, ran program as an administrator. This solved my issue that TT would provide an error when I was trying to open TT, as the updates would fail to install. The separate executable file worked perfectly.
In addition, the TT customer rep advised me to save my personal TT file to my computer, even though TT had been saving it to OneDrive (some sort of default I guess). That addressed the other problem I was having when TT said it could not find my tax return. I moved my file to my PC, and have not had another similar error.

Thank you for responding, but that does not answer my question. I am able to download the TT software, but am having issues with the software updates encountering an error, forcing a stop in the program, and often does not let me proceed to TT to continue working on my returns.
