TurboTax Premier or TurboTax Home & Business

Hi,

In 2024, I sold a rental property under a single-member LLC of which I'm the only member.  I also worked as an independent consultant which I will receive a 1099 and I have minimal business expense to report.  I also have W2s, rental income & expenses, 1099 for interests & dividends etc.  Can I use TurboTax Premier to file my tax return in 2024?  Or do I have to use TurboTax Home & Business?

And, I used TurboTax Premier to file my 2023 tax return.  If I were to use Home & Business for 2024, will TurboTax transfer the information smoothly?

All of the TurboTax desktop editions include the same forms, schedules and worksheet.  So, you can use either the Premier or the Home & Business desktop editions.

The 2023 tax data file from the Home & Business edition can be transferred to a 2024 Premier desktop edition.  Assuming both the 2023 and 2024 software is installed on the same computer.
