I am new to turbotax.  I am a CPA and for the last 20 years we have been allowed to use the company software to file our taxes until this year.  We were offered a discount for TurboTax.  I verified that I could file 3 returns with it and purchased it.  Now I find out I can only file one return which would have qualified for free (my daughter had 2 W2's.  I am out $60 for one return.  This makes me sick.

Perhaps you misunderstood.

When you use Online TurboTax, you get one return per fee.  Each return needs its own account and user ID.   If you use the same account and user ID for a second return, you overwrite the first one and lose it forever.

 When you use Desktop TurboTax, which you install from a CD or download to your own hard drive, you can prepare and e-file multiple returns for the cost of the software.  You can e-file up to 5 Federal returns—more if you mail the additional ones.  If you have multiple returns to prepare for family members, Desktop is more cost effective.

With TurboTax CD/Download software you can prepare and print unlimited federal tax returns, and e-file up to five at no charge (additional fee per state e-file with TurboTax CD/Download). TurboTax Online is for the preparation of one federal and state return.  Please see below for more information on the difference between TurboTax Online and TurboTax CD/Download software.

Well I even talked to someone on the phone that confirmed that I file 5 returns.  Now I am out $60 for a return that could have been free.  Going to find another product by another company since no one will refund my money.  As a tax professional I will make sure everyone  knows about this.
