For 2023, after completing my taxes on the Review screen, I see
Taxable Income: $81,436
Tax Liability: $13,175
Taxes Paid: $11,535
Credits: $0
Refund: -$1,683
Wrong calculation:
Simple math will show:
Tax Liability minus Taxes Paid:
$13,175
- $11,535
= - $1,640
Why is Turbotax charging me extra $43.00
One of the turbotax representative even called me yesterday and I shared my screen with her. She put me on hold and asked me if I was using MAX. I said no. After that she put me on hold and never returned.
My guess is TurboTax is cheating customers AGAIN to recover the cost of paying fines to the federal government on using deceiving tactics on customers.
Can anyone in TurboTax answer this? This is silently stealing cash from the customers.

Nahhhh...Check line 38 of your form 1040.
There is probably a $43 (estimated) Underpayment penalty showing there.
TTX isn't charging that...the IRS is.
Thanks for your response. I cannot view line 38 in 1040 as I have filed this online but did not reach the final Review yet. Once I complete the final review sign-off and pay, then I can check.
If you haven't filed yet, nor paid, you can see a copy of the form 1040/1040SR worksheet by getting inside that Online tax file somewhere, then going to the left side menu, and select:
>Tax Tools ...then
>>Tools ...then
>>>View Tax Summary
That pop-up shows the penalty (again, just estimated)....
.....or , at this stage, you can go again the left side again, and select:
>>>>Preview My 1040
