turbotax is not finding my last year's tax return

My Turbotax 2021 is not Find Last year tax return from my computer. but tax return is there.

Please fix this problem.

Please explain more.  Did you use the Desktop program for 2021?  You need the file ending in .tax2021 to transfer into 2022 or to open in the 2021 Desktop program.  

Are you on Windows or Mac?  Did you search your whole computer for all files ending in .tax2021?  And check the recycle bin and your backups.  Check in One Drive, Drop Box, etc.  It should be in your Documents then in the Turbo Tax folder.  Also if you have multiple Windows user accounts, log into each one and do the search for the *.tax2021 data file from within each one and checking the Recycle Bin in each one.

If you don't have the main .tax file you might have one that starts with a Tilde sign ~ like  "~your name.tax2021.  That file is if your computer crashes or your real file gets lost or deleted or corrupt so you can restore it.

Here's an idea.  Do you still have 2021 installed?  Try opening 2021 program and see if you can get your 2021 return to show up in it.  Go to FILE - OPEN.   Then save it again with a name and place you can find.  Go to File - Save As.  Then start a new 2022 return and transfer from the 2021 file.

It sounds like you are trying to open your 2021 tax return in the TurboTax 2021 software for Windows. Is that what you are trying to do?

You say that you know the "tax return is there." Do you mean that you know that the .tax2021 data file is on your computer, and you know where it is, but the TurboTax 2021 software is not finding it? If TurboTax does not find the tax return automatically, click "Find a Tax File" on the first screen when you start TurboTax, and go to where the .tax2021 file is to open it.

If this does not solve your problem, please give complete details about what you are trying to do, what TurboTax software you have installed, whether you are using Windows or a Mac, what version of TurboTax you used to file your 2021 tax return, and the status and location of your .tax2021 file.
