Turbotax for a self employed babysitter.

Hi  am a babysitter and also clean apts for a living.

I get a 1099 form for cleaning apts that averages about $10,000 /  year.

I  babysit in my house and other peoples houses and avg about $5,000 / year.

I had been using Turbotax Home & Business previously  and find it too expensive.

Can I use Turbotax Deluxe instead? Will the Deluxe version handled my self-employed situation?

All the required forms?

Using TurboTax online, you have to use the new TurboTax Premium. Deluxe does not allow you to enter your schedule C expenses.  if you purchased TurboTax on a CD or download to install on your own Mac or PC, you can use TurboTax deluxe. The desktop version of the deluxe program has all of the forms needed to complete a schedule C, but it has less built-in guidance, and the interview is much simpler, so you will need to know more of what you were doing. The desktop program, including the desktop version of home & business, can generally be purchased at a discount from reliable, third-party retailer, such as Amazon, Staples, or Best Buy, compared to the list price on the TurboTax website.

Thank you. I do want to buy the CD version from Amazon to use on my PC.

Just to confirm. I can use the CD version of Turbotax Deluxe that will have all required forms.

A. Yes.

All download/CD versions of TT have all the forms you need.  It's only in the online versions that "upgrading" is required, for more complicated returns.
