I did this already and spent over 2 hrs on the phone and computer with technical.  I had to download the TT to a different profile and file the taxes.   This was disappointing with Intuit and if the problems are not fixed I will not be buying TT anymore.

Note: Unless Intuit updates TurboTax by creating a native Apple Silicon Binary. TurboTax will no longer run when Apple discontinues Rosetta 2. Currently, Apple has said that macOS 27 will be the last macOS to offer support for Rosetta 2 and hence Intel Binaries on the Mac. If Apple sticks to their current schedule macOS 28, which should be released in the Early Fall of 2027, unless updated, all version of TurboTax will no longer function when one installs MacOS 28. It has already been 5 years since Quicken for Mac has had an Apple Silicon Binary.  I think Apple assumed that 7 years was enough time for Intuit. Unfortunately, Intuit has not released any information that they will or will not continue on the Mac platform.  I have no idea what the issues are. I can only assume something in their development environment is preventing this. Quicken's development environment enabled them to be one of the first to release their Apple Silicon Binary, to the point where it was transparent to users and a non-issue. I am hoping that they come out with updates to existing binaries when they release it for the current year. I keep doing my updates, hoping it will say "Universal Binary". AS of this moment the current update does not include an Apple Silicon Binary. Note: a Universal Binary, means that both an Intel Binary and Apple Silicon Binary are included.

I updated this thread, because it was linked to from a list of software as to their Apple Silicon Status.
