WA has no income tax, and I didn't see this issue in previous years.
But this year, TurboTax asks me to file state return. And I have to explicitly say no to that.
Thoughts? (I don't have any business. All the forms I have are my W2 and some 1099-INT and 1099-DIV).

Even in the later part, it also asks me if I want to efile WA state, which is odd. I don't recall I saw that in the past.
This can happen if you submit the Working Families Tax Credit Application.
You can select Do not file my state return now when you enter the file portion.
I just saw similar words in the software as well (about Working Families Tax Credit). Also I don't have much long term capital gain for its WA state wealth tax. So I think it is just a annoying bug of TurboTax that always asks for state return, even if I don't need it.
I also got a note asking me to do a Wa tax return. Do I have to do anything? Is it because of withholding? I did my Idaho state taxes.
The TurboTax product for Washington (new this year) is optional for taxpayers who qualify for the Working Families Tax Credit and wish to file for it at the same time that they file their federal tax return.
If it doesn't apply to you, or you don't wish to use TurboTax to file for the credit just ignore the prompts and/or elect to not transmit your state return when filing your federal.
