I was excited to receive my 2024 TurboTax software three days after the day it was supposed to arrive, but that's not why I'm posting this.
When I tried to import my Quicken data—and, yes, I know it's now owned by a different company—I encountered two rather ugly messages.
The first said, "There seems to be some issue in importing the Quicken data," and it told me to use a TXF file.
The second message went from bad to worst. With the TXF file, Quicken said, "Quicken will export data from the previous year."
Yikes! How do I get my 2024 Quicken data into the 2024 TurboTax software?
Respectfully,
Alex (a Quicken and TurboTax user for 20 years)

I am using Quicken Classic Premier Release 59 and when I request to import the Quicken information from the TurboTax 2024 Premier edition for Windows it imports the 2024 Quicken data with no issue.
Your second issue concerning exporting Quicken data is normal. You would need to wait until January 1, 2025 to export the 2024 Quicken data.
You might look at this thread in Quicken. It's about 2023 but should be the same for 2024. It's probably too early. 2024 is not over and not last year year yet

Dear Champ,
I have the same Quicken/TurboTax 2024 programs as you, and I followed the same steps to import my Q 24 into my TT 24, but get the same "There seems to be some issue with importing the Quicken data" as reported by the other user. Also, trying to get Quicken to download a TXF file for 2024 does not work (not end of the year yet) so I am left with no ability to do year end planning for taxes which except for last year, has always worked for me. This is clearly an issue others have experienced, and I would appreciate knowing how to get the results you did with your information transfer.
Thanks.
@Rick5010 See this TurboTax support FAQ concerning the import of a Quicken file - https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/import-export-data-files/import-quicken-...
Assuming that you have set up the 2024 Quicken tax categories correctly, you may want to go to the Planning section and Tax Center in Quicken to review your entries.
Or use Quicken support to see if they can assist.
@Rick5010 As for exporting the Quicken TXF file, you might want to change the date on your PC to a date in 2025 to see if the 2024 tax data will export.
DoninGA,
Thanks for your advice. I had tried all the methods of importing from Quicken to TT, and kept getting the problem message. Again, I have used TT for years, and last year was the first time I had issues with directly importing from Quicken into TT.
I again followed the steps in the link you sent, and arrived at the same "problem" message. I did change the date on my computer to 1 year ahead, exported the TXF file, then cleaned up all the date change issues, and was able to import the TXF file into TT. Looks like it has worked, but goodness, this should be an easy thing for Quicken/TT to fix back to how it worked previously.
Thanks for you suggestions.
