TurboTax 2025 won't accept my activation license code?

I purchased TurboTax Desktop Deluxe 2025, Federal & State Tax Return [PC/Mac Download] from Amazon and then download the TurboTax app from Intuit and now it won't accept my license code

Who on Amazon did you buy it from? Amazon is listed as an authorized seller but only if it's sold and shipped by Amazon, see

We'd love to help you with your download, but need more information. Can you clarify, are you receiving an error message after entering the activation code?

I am having the same problem. Did you find a solution?

We ended up calling support and they told us this year they were having a large number of calls about this and other bugs.  We reloaded another software image from the website.

I would recommend you call them,   on this forum it took 6 weeks for someone recently to respond.

Activate your software

After installing TurboTax Desktop, you'll be asked to sign in to your Intuit Account. 

To activate your installed software: 

Sign in to or create your Intuit Account.   If there's a blank screen instead of a sign-in option, or you're redirected to the sign-in page multiple times, go here if you have a Mac or here if you have Windows.

1. If you have an account and are having trouble logging in, go to I need help signing into my Intuit Account.
2. Enter your license code.
3. Start using TurboTax.

You need an Intuit Account to use TurboTax Desktop for a few reasons:

1. You can be confident you’re downloading and activating an official Intuit product.
2. You can more easily install TurboTax Desktop on another computer because we’ll store your license code.
3. Our experts can more quickly help you because they’ll know what product you’re using.
