I bought 2Two(2) - 2024 turbotax programs for my family to use as we need to use different ones. I need to get one off and install the other but it keeps wanting me to go back to the lower version. One is deluxe and one is Home and business. How can I get Home and business on my computer and Deluxe off?

You cannot have more than one TurboTax desktop edition for the same tax year installed on the same computer.

You will need to uninstall the Deluxe edition.

Buying two versions of 2024 desktop software was a mistake and was unnecessary. You cannot install/download two versions of 2024 desktop software on the same computer. Either one of those software programs is capable of preparing and e-filing up to five federal tax returns and the state returns that go with them. You did not need two programs. Keep one of them and seek a refund for the other one. Every version of the desktop download has all the forms and all the schedules. The interview questions in Home and Business go in to more detail for some things.
