turbotax 2024 won't update

When I installed 2025 in April 2025, I had so may problems, I was unable to even do my taxes. I paid a large amount on IRS Direct Pay and am hoping it was enough. There were very strange things with that install that have never happened before. I had to install Microsoft Visual C+ and 2022 Redistributable.

Now I am trying to update it. why is my turbo tax updater struggling to update? The 1st time it wouldn't do anything and I had a hard time "X'ing" out of it. Then a couple hours later, I tried again. It brought up my administrator identity, saying that it downloaded to my computer. I signed in and gave permission, but it just sat there saying it would take 5 minutes but doing nothing for at least 30 minutes. Then all of a sudden it updated to 22%, 4 minutes remaining. Now it's an hour later an it has gotten to 31%, with 4 minutes remaining. What's wrong here?
