I downloaded Capital gains from Schwab which appeared to work but it did not populate the EasyStep form resulting in zero capital gains showing in EasyStep. However, the capital gains download did populate Schedule D. I also ran SmartCheck and it didn't find any problems. After an hour on the phone with TurboTax support, the 2nd level support answer was delete the form and enter the data by hand which is an insulting and ridiculous answer. I managed to get capital gains from Schwab to download and populate all forms after (and I don't know if all these steps were necessary) deleting TurboTax, rebooting, reinstalling, deleting my tax return file, creating a new one and then downloading from Schwab which appears to have worked. However, I need to trust my tax return software and this experience has let me concerned about other bugs I may not have found. Unless TurboTax restores my confidence this will be my last year of using TurboTax after using it for 25 years. Extremely disappointed.
