I have Turbotax Business and Home and Business for multiple years, installed on the same computer.
I started Turbotax Business 2024 yesterday, and it asked for a new activation. This is the second time this has happened. So, I have now used 3 of my 5 activations - even though it is the same computer. I followed all the steps listed in https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/install-products/turbotax-2019-turbotax-..., but to no avail.
Today, I started Turbotax Home and Business - and it also asked me for a new activation. So, I have now used 2/5 - even though it is the same computer.
I am worried that I may run out of my activations in the middle of doing my taxes and be stuck. I have also purchased multiple state versions, which I will lose if I have to buy new licenses.
I contacted Turbotax tech support yesterday, and the very nice agent on the phone asked to screen share. She had never heard of this problem before and had no solution to offer. She had no idea how to check the activations already done or how to resent them. She annotated my account (for 2024 Business) and asked me to contact Turbotax again when I use all 5 of my activations. This is certainly not an acceptable solution because I may get locked out outside of Turbotax office hours.
I have been using Turbotax for many years (on the same computer) and did not have these issues. Clearly, Turbotax has done something to their activation process - there are multiple other users reporting the same issue.

This is happening with every one of my Turbotax products - installed on the same computer. There are no USB drives connected. I rebooted the machine, suspended the antivirus - to no avail.
What I am worried it that once I reach my 5 activations, I may not be able to find a tech support person who can reset the activations (like the lady yesterday).
How do I get to a higher level tech support to solve this problem?
