Turbo tax premier transferring 2020 W-2 EIN and dependent info into 2021 return incorrectly

I'm using Turbotax Premier (windows) desktop for many years.  Have never had an issue importing previous year's return. But right from the beginning, my kids (dependent info, which hasn't changed) isn't transferring correctly.  Worse, my wife and I have one W-2 each, but for some reason when I go thru the step-by-step, my wife's W-2 EIN imports into my W-2 in the step-by-step.  This does not bode well. I'm going to be depending on much other transferred data and I've immediately lost confidence. It's a mess.  I've checked my 2020 return pdf and the tax file in TT 2020 and all the information is correct there). there is something terribly wrong with the the transfer.  I've tried starting multiple returns to see if it was just a one time failed transfer, but it repeats.  If I can't rely on the transfer, I can't rely on turbotax. What could be going on?

After posting this, I decided to check the TT 2021 W-2s in forms view to see the actually transferred information.  Both EIN's are correct. So, this becomes even stranger. In step-by-step my wife's EIN is showing in the field for my EIN, but the form is actually correct.  There is some sloppy stuff going on.
