My Federal went through e-file after I unchecked state. My Michigan return does not transmit? I came back to state and updated on-line a dozen times over two days to no avail on 2/21, 22 & 23/2020. I have never had that problem in 15 years of using Turbo Tax. I am a retired 40 IRS Agent Appeals Officer and adjunct professor in taxation - I know what I am doing with my simple tax returns.
I can't find a 800 number or support email address to send a message to TT? Turbo Tax has declined very badly this year! Time to get Tax Cuts from H&R unfortunately. I reported Intuit to the Michigan Attorney General’s Office for fraud – TT took my $25 and no response via customer service.

You won't be able to e-file your state return until your federal return has been accepted. Once that's done, you should have no trouble. See the info I'm linking below in a TurboTax FAQ. Hope this helps you out! So sorry for your frustration.
How do I e-file my state after I already filed my federal?

I couldn't agree with this more. Support is horrible, and near impossible to get. I had this same issue. After spending 2 hour on the phone with "support" including elevated support, all of which I had to explain that the "window" for filing returns did not apply to business returns. I was told someone would get back to me in two days. TT would not let me file the Michigan return, which is required to be filed electronically, It did not let me file it with the federal, which it has for the last 8 years, and it still will not let me file it even after the federal return has been "accepted". Support is a joke, and non-responsive. This is after TT charged me for the Michigan Business Return. Now I am looking like I have to buy another solution to file the return, because again, Michigan requires the return to be filed electronically. Did I mention that support offered that I could print the return and mail it as a solution?

CatinaT1 is there some monetary reward for the "expert" level badge. It is apparent that all you do is troll this page and offer the same comment over and over again. It is apparent that you did not even read the title of this thread as it is about the horrible customer service that TT has. An your remark to call customer service, reinforces that.
