TT 2024 Premier update error et al

This AM I had a problem installing an update. First is stalled and then I got an error message and it said try again. I retried installing the update and it thought I was doing a new install-activation code and and everything else. I went along with it and what happened it totally deleted my TT folder in my  File Explorer documents file. I had to reinstall the folder from my backup flash drive. Somebody want to tell me what happened? Here are the particulars:

Someone else had problems with the last update on Thursday 9/11/25.   I holding off doing the update on my Windows.   I’ll try to find out more.
