I installed TT 2023 Deluxe on Windows 11. After the update cycle, I logged in, entered the key, completed the activation process, and successfully started TT. TT entered background data from previous year. Started on income section, saved file, and exited TT.
Next day started computer to resume work on return. Started TT by double clicking on saved file. And then had to go through the whole activation process again. During that time TT also informed that it was activated on 2 computers (which it is not).
What needs to be done to stop the continuous activation after install?
And how is the 2 computer installation issue cleared up?
Thanks

Make sure your computer is the same way when you originally installed it. Like with no flash drives plugged in or plugged in if one was. It asked me to activate again so I just closed the program and took out a flash drive that was plugged in and tried again. It worked. Or you may need to connect a flash drive or printer or something that was connected when you originally installed the program. One person found to disable his virus scanner and firewall first and then it opened.
VolvoGirl,
First, Thank you or your response.
Second, Yes - my computer is exactly the same - no changes - no extras temporarily attached. My system is a standalone Windows 11. Powered down after each work session is ended or for the day and powered on the next day (or time). The issue here is that TT should act like any other installed app. Once you are licensed and correctly installed you should not need to re-verify.
If every time you used Word or Outlook or Safari you needed to relog in and put in your license key or get a text for verification - you would not use that porduct. TT should be way beyond this stage for desktop use.
