Are you trying to enter a 6 digit Identity Protection PIN that you received from the IRS? If so -

To enter, edit or delete a 6 digit IP PIN

Click on Federal Taxes (Personal using Home and Business)
Click on Other Tax Situations
Scroll down to Other Return Info
On Identity Protection PIN, click the start button

I thought my Federal tax filing was free when I pay for the State tax prep fee. Why am I being charged for federal filing?
