Transferred from online to Desktop - form8949 missing error - unable to efile

Hello

I am a long time user of TurboTax online (since 2009) and I am trying out the desktop version now. I had everything setup online and transferred it to the desktop for 2023 taxes.

After review - went till e-filing and ended up getting the below error.

We can't e-file your return because  we are unable to locate the attachment at /attachment/Form8949ExceptionReportingStatement-3.pdf. Please go back and re-attach it. Then try e-filing again.

I uploaded a few csv's containing Crypto transactions at turbotax.com (online) and that I think that might be missing from here. I am not sure if that is the case. How to troubleshoot? Can someone help? Thanks.

I suspect that you will have to remove the crypto detail from TurboTax Desktop and upload again the crypto detail into TurboTax Desktop.

In TurboTax Desktop, you can create a backup of your TurboTax Desktop tax return.  I would create the backup at File / Save as and use it to make all of your changes.  At least you will have the original tax return to revert to.

I do not know what kinds of uploads or downloads that you did to generate your TurboTax Online tax return.  Most, but not all, of those processes are available in TurboTax Desktop.
