Once your return has been accepted by the IRS, TurboTax is not informed of the status of your return.  All inquiries will have to go to the IRS.  However, I suggest being patient because the IRS will make sure that no one is using your identity to file prior to issuing any refunds.  But, it takes a little time.

Yep same here I'm still waiting I never got the letter so I called the tax advocate to see maybe if they can help me get my refund faster but I don't know let's see I'm still waiting though I tried to explain to them that I'm homeless I just lost my house and I was going to use that refund to get into a place but they don't care they're not worried about it they have a home

Did you ever get your refund because they told me the same thing I had to send verification of my employment and some other stuff my bank verification but I still haven't received my refund did you get yours

Then they keep you on hold for hours for them to just hang up it is so frustrating still haven't got my refund

Finally got my letter today.  It was dated February 23rd.  Did the verification process and now I wait.  Says it could be up to 9 weeks to get my refund.

From my understanding of you cannot simply verify through ID.me then you WILL get a letter (you should probably click the button on the site for them to resend it at this point I think that may have been a glitch as well) and you have to wait for the letter. You could call and wait on hold to confirm that it was sent just to be sure but wait times are extremely long. Once you get your letter and verify yourself it could take up to 9 weeks for you to receive your refund but I don’t believe it will take more than 1-2 weeks for most people. Also, your status should change on the “where’s my refund” page within a few business days. Hope this helps.

I wasn’t asked to verify much of anything beyond the code from the letter,  my AGI, and the direct deposit account that I had setup for my refund to go to. I got my refund about a week after I verified.

If you did not get the letter, the IRS may have a different address on file.  With an IRS Online Account, you can get digital copies of notices they have sent you.

The notices section is empty... And yes my address changed but irs people told me it will go to the address I put while filing. I am getting really nervous rn. Anyone who can help me out? If I received state refund maybe I won't get the letter. I am out of states rn and I won't be back for a month and they keep telling me to go in person if I dont have the letter.

I submitted the first day taxes opened in January and received my letter on Feb 27th

The letter was dated for 2/16, I received it on 2/22 even though they said it was sent out on 2/9.

My letter was sent feb 9th, I got it on the 20th, my status changed on irs where’s my refund on march 2nd, says I’ll receive money on 6th.  I’ll update if I actually get them tomorrow.
