To change the filing status in TurboTax Online, please follow the steps below:

·         Log in to your TurboTax Online account, or open your TurboTax desktop program, 

·         Click to continue your return

·         Click on Personal Info

·         Find your filing status under your name

·         Click to edit 

How do I add or remove a dependent?

If you need to revisit the Dependents section in TurboTax Online, here's what you do:

1. Open (continue) your return if you don't already have it open.
2. Search for personal information and then click the "Jump to" link in the search results.
3. Follow the onscreen instructions to add or remove a dependent.
