To resolve the foreign back account question issue, in TurboTax Online, in the search box at the top of the page, type in foreign accounts and trusts and click the Jump to link. If that doesn't work, try following these steps:
- Select Federal on the left side menu.
- Select Wages & Income.
- Scroll all the way to the bottom and click Continue.
- Continue until you get to Tell Us About Any Foreign Bank Accounts.
- You can change your answers here.
If you had any foreign tax paid on Dividends, see this thread for additional information.
If you don't have a foreign account:
- In TurboTax, Go to Other Tax Situations
- Select Other Tax Forms
- Select Start or Review next to "Prepare a report on foreign financial assets"
- You will see the question, "Do you have any foreign financial assets?" Click the radio button next to "No, I don't have foreign financial assets".
These steps should resolve the issue.
