Ok ... so you filed the 2019 return using the 2018 information ? If so you MUST WAIT for the IRS to accept or reject your return.
If it is rejected then you can simply fix the incorrect entries and resubmit the return.
Now if the return is accepted you MUST WAIT LONGER until that return is fully processed and you have received the refund ... ONLY THEN can you complete the amendment process.
"They" filed your 2018 return as a 2019 return? Did YOU use the current online program to prepare a 2018 return? That mistake was not anyone else's mistake. That was your own big boo boo. The online software is ONLY for 2019, which is why all the questions asked about 2019.
But, when the IRS begins to accept/reject returns on Jan. 27, your return will very likely be rejected. Then you can use the 2019 program to enter your 2019 information----slowly......carefully....deleting 2018 as you go....and putting in 2019 income, etc. When it has been corrected, you can re-file it.

If you need to prepare a return for 2016, 2017, or 2018 you can purchase and download desktop software to do it, then print, sign, and mail the return(s)

Remember to prepare your state return as well—if you live in a state that has a state income tax.
When you mail a tax return, you need to attach any documents showing tax withheld, such as your W-2’s or any 1099’s. Use a mailing service that will track it, such as UPS or certified mail so you will know the IRS/state received the return.
Note: The desktop software you need to prepare the prior year return must be installed/downloaded to a full PC or Mac. It cannot be used on a mobile device.
If you are getting a refund, there is not a penalty for filing past the deadline. If you owe taxes, the interest/penalties will be calculated by the IRS based on how much you owe and when they receive your return and payment. The IRS will bill you for this; it will not be calculated by TurboTax.
In the very unlikely event that messed up return is accepted, post back here for help.
